Let’s dive into this full performance review with all the details on why the ANTA KAI 2 are a must have.

Design – 4.5/5:

The KAI 2 keeps a premium feel with strong attention to detail, continuing the storytelling from the KAI 1. Materials vary depending on the colorway, but the shoe remains well built. It’s less visually striking, yet still high quality in a market where many shoes look the same.

Traction – 4.5/5:

Multidirectional patterns grip extremely well on clean courts, with reassuring traction right out of the box. On dusty floors, a quick wipe is enough. Traction remains a major strength of the Kyrie line and is well preserved here.

Weight: 418g (EU 42)

Slightly above average—you can feel it on foot—but the weight is well distributed. The midsole is thick, yet balanced. Sizing: Go true to size.

Comfort – 4/5:

Overall comfort is very good; the foam breaks in after a few sessions. Materials are flexible except for the heel, which feels a bit stiff. Otherwise, no issues—it feels good on foot.

Support – 4.5/5:

This is the shoe’s biggest strength. You feel secure whether you’re a guard or a center. The reinforcements work well, and the foot stays locked in if sizing is correct.

Cushioning – 4/5:

Responsive and protective foam with good comfort after break-in. Slightly firm for some, but ideal for powerful players who want stability and protection.

Durability – 4.5/5:

Easily lasts a full season, indoors or outdoors. Deep outsole, solid materials—very durable.

Price: €160

Good value for money. Sold at $125 in the US, which would be a perfect deal at that price. Watch for discounts under €130—sales are coming.

Quick Summary

  • Overall: 17/20 – very reliable performance shoe

  • Strengths: Support, traction, durability, build quality

  • Weaknesses: Slightly heavy, heel a bit stiff, cushioning a little firm for some

  • Best for: Players who want stability, lockdown, and durability, especially stronger or explosive players

  • Value: Worth it, especially on sale under €130
